Sent USDT to the Wrong Address
Unlike a wrong-network mistake, sending to a simply incorrect address on the right network is the hardest scenario to recover from, and it's worth understanding why clearly.
Why this is fundamentally different from other mistakes
TRON transactions are irreversible by design — there's no central authority that can undo a confirmed transfer. If the destination address is controlled by someone else's private key (whether that's a real person or simply an address that happens to be valid but unowned by anyone you can reach), there is no technical mechanism to reclaim the funds.
Confirm the situation first
Check the address on TronScan. If it belongs to a known, identifiable platform (an exchange, for example), there may be a support process. If it's an address with no identifiable owner, that path doesn't exist.
What's worth doing anyway
If the address is tied to any identifiable platform, contact their support with the transaction hash regardless — it costs nothing to ask. If it's an unowned or unidentifiable address, treat this as a loss and use it as a reason to always send a small test transfer before sending a large amount to a new address in the future.
